Summer Salad in a Jar/Mixed Vegetables & Mozzarella Salad

Do you know you carry very well your salad in a jar, with a simple earlier plan, you can prepare your salad jar everyday easily to carry in your bag to enjoy for a lunch or else for a picnic. My today's post is a summer friendly salad which i simply prepared quickly with couple of vegetables, mozzarella cheese and golden raisins. Easy to prepare, this salad will definitely please you as most of the vegetables i used in this salad are completely healthy and raw. No oil is needed and no dressing is needed. Spiced up with salt and pepper powder, this salad is very quick to prepare.Actually am posting this salad for this month's Shhh Cooking Secretly event started by me, which is now hosted by Mayuri Patel.

Every month, the members of this group shares two secret ingredients mutually between their pair and they cook with their secret ingredients and reveal the dish they cooked up towards the end of the month. And my pair of this month is Kalyani of Sizzling Tastebuds gave me Cucumber and raisins, while i gave her Quinoa and watermelon. Adding golden raisins to a combination of healthy vegetables makes this simple vegetable salad more interesting with a sweet touch. If i prepare a salad, my kids will always asks for some cubed mozzarella cheese, hence i have added cheese in this salad. Give a try to this simple salad am sure everyone at home will definitely love it.

Summer salad in a Jar, Mixed Vegetables & Mozzarella salad

1cup Chopped cucumber
1/2cup Grated carrots
1/2cup Sweet corn kernels
1/4cup Celery stem (chopped)
Mozzarella cheese (cubed)
Handful of Golden raisins
Salt
Pepper powder
Clean jar (as per need)

Spoon the jars with chopped cucumber pieces, followed by chopped celery stem,sweet corn kernels, grated carrots.

Finally top the vegetables with cubed mozzarella cheese and few golden raisins.

Sprinkle the salt and pepper powder.

Close the jar with a lid.

Priya I like this idea of preparing the salad in the jar. Even if one is not going to work, the salad can be prepared and stored in the fridge for those hungry moments. Instead of reaching out for sweet treats or unhealthy snacks a salad packed with healthy ingredients is a good option.
